Taos Junction group area is located in the Orilla Verde Recreation Area of Rio Grande del Norte National Monument. There is no long a shelter at this location. The location is equipped with a concrete pad, picnic tables, and fire pit. The group shelter is available year-round on a first-come first-served basis. The shelter is reservable from 11AM the day of a reservation until 10AM the following day.There is no longer a shelter at this site . This site can accommodate a group of 40 visitors. It has 6 picnic tables, one fire ring/grill, access to bathrooms with flushable toilets, and beautiful views. There are no electrical hook-ups available. Taos Junction Bridge and boat launch site is a short walk away. A maximum of 15 vehicles are allowed under a single group reservation.
